Products

All our products are designed in Oakland, CA by Shawna Chan. We source most of our products ethically made in the USA and from minority-run small businesses.

Snags happen! Especially if you have pets. We do not recommend letting your furry friends on your blanket (or on any knit or woven blanket for that matter!), but if you do find a snag on your blanket, gently tug at the stitches surrounding it to redistribute the yarn or (if it's big) pull it through to the other side to hide it. Never cut it!

Our knits (both wool and cotton) are machine-washable. They go through a full wash and dry cycle in our manfacturer's facility before getting shipped out to ensure there will be no shrinkage or discoloration. At home we recommend a delicate cycle on cold, tumble dry low. Both wool and cotton fibers are very durable and will last for years with proper care. Some pilling is inevitable with wear, and can be easily remedied with a fabric shaver or fuzz remover.

Not to worry! We perform a full wash and dry cycle before delivery that will retain the size, luster, softness, and beauty of your piece so you don’t have to worry about any shrinking or discoloration after wash.

Most of our packaging is 100% recyclable or made from Post-Consumer-Waste. Some mailers/shipping packaging is also 100% compostable – being environmentally friendly and sustainable is a top priority for us. 

RETURNS/SHIPPING

For orders shipped to anywhere outside the United States, any duties and taxes incurred are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable upon receipt of the goods.

International orders take on average 2-7 weeks to arrive at their destination.

Most items are shipped via USPS. If you would like to get a package ASAP, please shoot us an email shop@shawnachan.com. We are not responsible for any stolen packages, please be sure you submit a safe delivery address and communicate with your local carrier about any specific delivery requests. Once an item shows as delivered we are unable to acquire additional information in most cases and are not responsible for replacing or refunding the order. If you would like us to include signature confirmation, please shoot us email and we'll do it for no charge.

We do not offer exchanges or refunds, but can offer you store credit if contacted within the 5 day window. You must contact us before posting it back to us. We will not accept packages returned to us that have not been in contact with us first. Please note that we do not accept requests for returns on sale items as they are final sale.

Once we hand your package off to the post office it is out of our control and the post office is responsible for it.  If you have questions as to location of your package you will need to contact your local post office as soon as possible.

The customer is responsible for entering the correct shipping address.  If a package is returned due to an incorrect address you will be responsible for the shipping cost to get it to you.  If you entered the wrong address contact us as soon as possible.

Local pickups can be scheduled Monday - Friday (10am-5pm). Weekend pickups can be accommodated if scheduled ahead of time. Use code OAKLANDPU at checkout and leave a note on your pick-up preference and we will try our best to make it happen.
