At its center, figures dressed in traditional sarong kebaya—worn by the artist’s parents—stand together in a tender moment of togetherness, joined by a beloved cat companion. It’s a portrait of home, where love shows up in small gestures and shared routines.
The phrase “Eat Fruits” adds a gentle, almost playful reminder—echoing the simple wisdom often passed down in Asian households. It’s equal parts nurturing, humorous, and sincere.

AZN Sauce of Love is an original illustrated series by Shawna Chan, begun in 2018 and first presented as a risograph poster for APHM in 2019.
